Seven and eight year old’s were mixed in with some of the hardened teenagers and were treated like their personal slaves. Albert DeSalvo a.k.a. Boston Strangler spent a good part of his youth at Lyman.

I realize this is a bit old but, I spent more years at Lyman than most, actually held the record. So much misinformation.

  4. how recent are these?

  5. I would like to discuss obtaining rights to a few of your photos for a documentary we are doing that discusses the Lyman School. Can we start an email correspondence?

  6. John Fredette says:

I was sent to Lyman school back in 64 and again in 66 for being a stubborn child. My so called father use to physically abuse me and the police would do nothing. So I would run away to my grandmother’s house and than get caught by the police and get brought back so my father could beat me again. What a life.
