Rocky Point Amusement Park
Rocky Point, Warwick, RI was opened in 1847 by Captain William Winslow. From the 1950’s through the mid 1990’s Rocky Point was THE place to go. The park offered lots of cool rides, like the Corkscrew Roller Coaster, Skyliner, Haunted House and the Log Flume (that also acted like a wet t-shirt contest on those hot July nights). The park closed in 1995.

So sad all the old amusement parks that closed down. Looks so apocalyptic now compared to back in the 60s and early 70s! What is this country coming to!!???
